It was just a fine choice for a weekend trip in Monterado with a reasonable price. The outdoor terrace for breakfast had amazing views, which added a nice touch to our mornings. Bring some water for the pool area. there are limited options nearby.

Charming village atmosphere with a rich cultural heritage.
Unfortunately, my stay was plagued with frustrating issues. The so-called 'castle' experience was marred by the disappointing accommodations, as we were placed in a separate building far from the main site. The lack of friendly service, and the restrictions on where we could take our dog only added to our burdens.

Magic moments in Monterado 🌄
Staying here felt like living a fairy tale! We had a stunning suite with these pretty frescos and a lovely big bathroom. Brekkie on the terrace had the most amazing views of the hills too. Kira and Orlando were so friendly, giving us solid tips for local spots. The pool area is just perfect for chilling!
Just wish we could have stayed longer! Really had to rush out since we were on a tight schedule.

the so-called ‘gorgeous views’ were completely ruined by the dreadful access to the pool area, which had steps everywhere and gravel so deep I thought I’d sprain my ankle! oh, and expecting a complimentary bottle of champagne was too much, I guess. I almost thought of leaving a good review but just couldn’t.
